Refresh Naturally with Flavored Water


With the warm temperatures and activity-packed days of summer upon us, it is essential to stay hydrated. One of my favourite ways to stay refreshed is by drinking fruit and herb flavoured water. Whether you are relaxing with friends, or heading out for a day in the sun, there are endless ways for making your much-needed water intake a bit more enjoyable!

Here is my favourite recipe:

Strawberry Basil Flavoured Water

Ingredients

*this recipe is intended for a juice pitcher. Simply cut the ingredients in half if you’re filling up a water bottle

  1. 4-6 strawberries, washed and cut

  2. 1/2 lemon, sliced

  3. Small handful of basil

  4. Ice and water

Instructions

  1. Fill your favourite water bottle or juice pitcher to the top with ice and fruit.

  2. Slightly scrunch up the basil so it releases its flavour.

  3. Cover with cold water.

  4. Let sit for at least 1 hour so the flavours have a chance to seep out into the water.
